Within Syros transportation can be made with private cars, local buses, taxis and boats.
In case anyone wants to choose a private car for transport to the island, one car hire from local car rental companies or through a travel agency.
The local bus service covers most of the island especially during the summer months. The local buses connect Ermoupoli with Galissas, Finikas, Posidonia, Megas Gialos, Vari, Azolimnos, Kini, Anno Mana, Chroussa, Parakopi and Vissa while municipal buses are also available, free of charge.

A taxi service is available to transport visitors. A taxi station can be found in front of the monument of National Resistance in Ermoupoli.
The island has boats for hire to transport visitors into private and rugged beaches and points specifically chosen for diving. More information can be requested from the travel agencies on the island.
