The Jesuit Monastery was founded in 1744 in Ano Syros and stands out for its impressive architecture, an excellent icon of our lady that was brought from Rome and the great library that houses around 6,000 books, historical documents, manuscripts and parchments. The church is located near Our Lady of Mount Carmel formerly known as Virgin of the Rosary that was the diocese of Crete until 1639.
